Thesis
Undergraduate students in Molecular Biology and Genetics are required to complete a Final Project in order to graduate. The duration of the Final Project is one semester. At the end of this period, the student organizes the knowledge and experience gained during the project into a Final Thesis and presents it to the Thesis Committee members.
The Thesis must be written in accordance with the Thesis Writing Guidelines. It may be prepared using the Thesis Template published by the Department. To submit the work, the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics Thesis Submission Form must be completed and approved by the advisor. The thesis must be submitted to the thesis advisor and the committee no later than the first day of the final exam period. The presentation of the Thesis Project will be held as a “Poster” at the end of the year on the date announced by the department.
Compliance with Scientific Ethics: A declaration of compliance with scientific ethics must be included with the thesis. The Turnitin report must be submitted along with the thesis text. For the thesis to be accepted, the similarity rate must not exceed 30%.
The TURNITIN report will be obtained through your thesis advisor’s TURNITIN account.
After the thesis presentation (following any revisions), one electronic copy (on a CD) must also be submitted to the Department Secretary’s Office (the CD should be labeled as “thesis title-advisor-student ID-first name last name”).
The thesis must be submitted to the thesis advisor and the thesis committee no later than the first day of the final semester.
